Foundation 2026 Enrolments

The DET Foundation enrolment timeline for 2026 advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Warreen Primary School.

All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2025 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2026 school year.

You are able to enrol your child in Foundation 2026 at Warreen Primary School from 22 April 2025.

What you need to do:

1. Click to book a SCHOOL TOUR or contact our school to learn more about the enrolment application process.
2. Submit an initial enquiry using the enquiry form below.
3. Once your address has been confirmed that it is within our school zone an enrolment form & checklist will be emailed to you.
4. Submit an enrolment application for 2026 Foundation (Prep) by Friday 25 July 2025.
5. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 28 July and Friday 8 August 2025. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 22 August 2025.
6. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025.
7. Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Wednesday 28 January 2026.

Enrolment applications submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Warreen Primary School welcomes enrolments for students who reside within our Designated Neighbourhood Zone in 2026.  Eligibility for enrolment is subject to whether your residential address falls within our Designated Neighbourhood zone.
